The Afghanistan-Pakistan land border crossing at Torkham has reopened after being closed for nine days due to clashes between guards on both sides. The closure left thousands of travellers and hundreds of trucks stranded. Talks between the two sides resolved the issue and the crossing is now open for pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
