LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – As much as $800,000 of loans is available to developers that build affordable multi-family housing in La Crosse.
The Affordable Housing Loan Fund launched Wednesday just one day after being approved by he city’s Community Development Committee.
The fund could help bring changes to some big locations in the city.
“I get calls very often, people interested in La Crosse. They’re just trying to find the property. And again, this fund could be used to help them acquire something like the K-Mart site or the Bridgeview site to redevelop that into housing,” said Caroline Gregerson, City of La Crosse community development administrator.
