especially people that live along the coastlines. we were at oahu at 10:00 this morning. the city and state did close the main roads along the low lying areas on the winward side of the island and the leeward side of the island. so hopefully most of those people did take heed and leave. right there it looks like an emergency vehicle. yes. some type of emergency workers. we re going to continue to watch the live pictures streaming in from our affiliate there. kitv and kohn. we re seeing images coming from waikiki beach and then images coming from hilo. hilo in particular. the hilo side of the big island. the expectation is the tsunamis that are have been triggered by that 8.8 magnitude earthquake in chile would be hit first. and nobody wants the repeat of what they saw in 1960 when very similarly tsunami triggered by earthquakes in chile ended up

reading from the bouies? possibly from some of those bouies. we ve been seeing them certainly off shore. but then we also have gauges and observations a little bit closer right on the island itself. so we ll be monitoring those gauges and watch them as well. we certainly saw some big drops about an hour ago, maybe 200 miles away from hawaii. so we ll watch as time progresses. you know, that could be an hour from now that we ll start to see the bigger waves begin to pull in. all right. we re going it continue to listen to live coverage from our affiliate kohn now as we watch this live coverage that they re bringing us. looking at that finger of reef right now, it definitely seems unusual that that reef was exposed five minutes ago and now it s covered up by water. and i ve seen the surf get a little bit more choppier than it was a few minutes ago. so this could be related to one of the initial waves coming on shore here in honolulu. but it is a small one. all right. andrew, than
