Three Civilians Found Dead in Herat: Police
Three civilians were found dead in Injil district in the western province of Herat on Friday, the provincial police said, adding that their bodies were burnt.
The victims include a man, a woman and a four-year-old child, Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada said on Saturday.
He said the bodies were found on the Herat-Karokh highway.
The police spokesman said that the motive behind the incident is not clear so far, but an investigation has started in this respect.
He said the perpetrators have fled.
“As per initial findings, the bodies were burnt outside their house and their limbs were broken,” said Mohammad Arif Jalali, a physician at Herat Regional Hospital.
