Odonnell says the reports of infected pregnant women in brazil having babies who have small heads, is worrying exexctant moms here at home. Patients are definitely calling. Its all over the news. Its all over the newspaper and magazines. So a lot of our patients are calling with concerns. Doctor odonnell recommends her patients follow the current cdc guidelines. Women who are pregnant or who are thinking of becoming pregnant, should not travel to those infected countries. And while doctors say the current risk here in iowa is extremely low, both medical providers say pregnant women need to be mindful of the risks. I think the cdc is right in heightening the awareness.
