17 BBMP engineers promoted The civil engineers of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP) to the rank of assistant executive engineers (AEEs). They were among the 78 civil engineers, who were promoted to senior posts in 2017, but the order was put on hold after some disgruntled had engineers approached the Supreme Court, challenging the “premature” orders. Among the civil engineers who were promoted on Monday include: G Krishna Kumar, Fazal Ahmed, Prakash KS, Mahantesh Buranpur, Deepashree HS, Sudhakar Reddy, Thippeswamy G and Savitha Padmavathi. Their monthly income will range between Rs 52,650 and Rs 97,100. The order was passed by Lakshmi Sagar N K, under-secretary at UDD.

Four men stranded in Balochistan die of starvation after Pak closes border with Iran ANI | Updated: Apr 22, 2021 14:28 IST Makran [Pakistan], April 22 (ANI): Four men died due to starvation while they were stranded in border areas of the Makran division of Balochistan due to the closure of the Iran-Pakistan border. Pakistani authorities have closed the border with Iran at Gwadar, Turbat and Panjgur about a month ago and stopped the vehicles which had crossed into Pakistan from Iran at the check-posts of Frontier Corps, Dawn reported. Hundreds of pick-ups and other vehicles loaded with Iranian petrol and diesel were stuck up in the border areas when authorities stopped them from moving ahead after they crossed into Pakistan from Iran.
