American Firm General Electric Aerospace (GE Aerospace), among the few aircraft engine makers in the world, has announced an investment of Rs. 240 crores or approximately $30 million in their existing Indian facility in Pune Maharashtra.
Inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2015, the GE Aerospace factory produces components for commercial jet engines. These are supplied to GE’s global factories where they are used to assemble aircraft engine variants -G90, GEnx, GE 9X etc.
