Getty EXCLUSIVE: A Conservative MP and former health minister is under fresh investigation by the UK s anti-corruption watchdog after it rejected his demands for an appeal. Insider revealed last month that George Freeman broke the ministerial code by failing to seek permission before taking a role with a firm trying to sell protective equipment to the NHS. In an extraordinary exchange of letters, the watchdog s chairman has revealed that Freeman is under investigation for further potential breaches.

George Freeman MP Getty The UK government s anti-corruption watchdog has found that a former minister in Boris Johnson and David Cameron s governments broke the ministerial code by failing to declare his position with a PPE firm founded by a former government appointee. George Freeman MP, who was a former Health Minister, failed to register with the watchdog before accepting work with a company seeking to sell protective equipment to the National Health Service during the coronavirus pandemic. The company was founded by a former appointee of a government agency overseen by Freeman when he was a Health Minister.
