Last week Governor Walz again loosened COVID-19 restrictions around Minnesota as hospitalizations and the positivity rate continue to decline. His new executive order allowed for the maximum capacity of indoor entertainment venues, gyms and pools to increase from 150 to 250 people; private events and celebrations may now have a maximum of 50 people; and all bars and restaurants may have a maximum of 250 people indoors and can now stay opened until 11:00 p.m. With that in mind, here are some live events happening around Central Minnesota this weekend worth getting out of the house for:

5 Central MN Breweries Donating Proceeds to Buffalo Victims Five Central Minnesota breweries are teaming up to show their support for the community of Buffalo by donating a portion of Saturday s taproom sales. Today (Tuesday, February 16) marks one week since the tragic shooting at an Allina Health Clinic in Buffalo, MN that killed one and left four more injured. Since then, many around the state have rallied to show their support for the community. Multiple GoFundMe fundraisers have been set up on behalf of the victims and their families. During the annual Kites on Ice Festival this past weekend, donation centers were set up around Buffalo for those who wanted to give, and some downtown businesses donated a portion of sales to the families of the victims. Aegir Brewing Company in Elk River created quite the stir this past weekend when they posted a series of hilariously awkward family/holiday photos to social media. With the taproom currently cleared of its normal indoor dining furniture, co-owners and brothers Tim and Jeremy Jones took advantage of the available space for some fantastically awkward family/holiday photos. Together with local photographer Jeff Rutherford the Joneses decked themselves out in their most festive outfits and posed pretty for the camera. The results are priceless.
