K-P to get more accountability courts

Four new judicial positions also being sanctioned PHOTO: PHC PESHAWAR: The number of Accountability Courts and its judges is being increased in Peshawar due to the ever increasing flow of cases and four new vacancies are being created for judges. Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmad Khan has already ordered the increase in the numbers of judges so as to ensure speedy work on the pending accountability cases across the country. He had ordered the establishment of new accountability courts to speed up the process of hearing of cases. Under this program four new vacancies are being created in Peshawar’s accountability courts and these new posts will be soon be filled.

Consultative session on police training policy Islamabad April 11, 2021 Islamabad: Centre for Law and National Security (CLNS) in collaboration with the Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT Police) organised a consultative session on ‘Police Training policy’ at Police National Academy, H-11/1, says a press release. The discussion focused on the new training policy formed by ICT Police that intends to enhance the skills of young officers and provide capacity building exercises to improve the state of policing system in Pakistan. The consultative session served as the basis for providing concrete policy recommendations on police training to strengthen the efficacy of ICT Police.

Cabinet under PM meets By Our correspondent ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet was informed on Tuesday that the National Asset Management Authority was being set up to keep a complete record of the state lands, retrieval of the government properties from illegal occupation and ensure their efficient use. The meeting, held with Prime Minister in the chair, was told that the draft law had been sent for approval of the Ministry of Law and afterwards, the process of giving final shape to drafting law would begin. During the meeting proceedings, various ministers said that thousands of acres of land belonging to the government departments like Civil Aviation, Railways, etc. were under illegal occupation.
