A division bench of Justices Nitin Sambre and RN Laddha was tickled when the public prosecutor sought for time to get instructions based on changed (political) circumstances in Maharashtra.
The vacation bench granted Wankhede interim protection from arrest till June 8 subject to the condition that Wankhede will not publish any material through WhatsApp, give press statements or tamper with evidence.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday denied bail to Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor in the Yes Bank-DHFL loan fraud case.Justice PD Naik reasoned that Kapoor is facing serious allegation of laundering.
The High Court had rejected his first bail plea in February 2021 observing that Kapoor had alleged misused of his position in the bank which led to loss of public funds for financial gain, should be viewed seriously.
