Man sentenced to 40 years for child exploitation Share Updated: 10:22 AM CST Dec 17, 2020 Share Updated: 10:22 AM CST Dec 17, 2020 A 45-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years for exploitation of a child, court officials said.Michael Eugene Farmer will serve all 40 years of his prison sentence and must register as a sex offender. He is also prohibited from contacting his victims, according to Bubba Bramlett Jr., district attorney for Rankin and Madison counties.Richland police launched an investigation in April 2019 after receiving a complaint accusing Farmer of sexually assaulting a child, Bramlett said. The child said the abuse happened over a period of about six months during an interview by the Children s Advocacy Center.Investigators also found images of child pornography during a search of Farmer s electronics. The images were of two children, including the victim, Bramlett said.Farmer was charged with one count of sexual battery and five counts
