As per the schedule, frontline health workers are being vaccinated first, followed by the elderly citizens and then the rest. The drive began after half a million doses of vaccines were donated by China on Monday.

Pakistan suffers 54 more COVID deaths January 21, 2021 ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 2,363 people were tested positive for Coronavirus, and 54 passed away in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of infections and fatalities to 527,146 and 11,157 respectively across Pakistan. As per the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) data, 43,744 COVID tests were conducted throughout the Country on January 20. Of those, 16,635 tests were conducted in Punjab, 13,632 in Sindh, 6,234 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), 5,798 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 584 in Balochistan, 442 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 419 in Gilgit-Baltistan. The results found 2,363 people positive, recording a national positivity ratio of 5.4%. Similarly, of those died of COVID-19 on January 20, 25 patients breathed their last in Punjab, 13 in Sindh, 12 in KPK, 3 in AJK, and 1 in Balochistan.
