seize government buildings perhaps and decapitate the government. and they re going to have a very hard time doing that. and every day that goes by that they don t win, whether i use that term advisedly, that just heightens the frustration of the russians. now, what concerns me in all this is they ll resort to what they re famous for, which is a heavy use of artillery, rocketry and that sort of thing, and just do a lot of mindless they already are. a lot of mindless destruction and killing a lot of innocent people. that s my fear. i mean, i keep looking at what russia did in grozny. i mean, they decimated that city, assassinated a lot of people, a lot of leader a lot of government officials, and
talk about it. those who stormed this capitol and those who instigated and incited and those who called on them to do so held a dagger at the throat of america. and american democracy. they didn t come here out of patriotism or principle. they came here enraged, not in service of america but rather in service of one man. a dagger at the throat of america. you re a former speech writer, john. what do you make of this president delivering this speech in the context of what he said his goal was in coming to office? this was a speech for the history books, and you re right, i listen to speeches as a former speech writer and as someone who writes books about political history, and here was biden, in statuary hall, laying down a very strong marker with a very strong speech and i use the word strong advisedly because
