Researchers used viral genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis to determine from 28 samples collected that the virus spread to at least 29 other U.S. states, Australia, Sweden and Slovakia.Sign up for our Newsletters The outbreak at the conference, which was held at the Marriott Long Wharf at the end of February, eventually led to 333,000 cases, according to findings published in the journal Science.
