BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â Adventist Health Bakersfield announced it will be holding free child immunization clinics in June.
The following is a schedule for the clinics:
Walmart â Thursday, June 3rd 6225 Colony St. (parking lot), Bakersfield from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Food Maxx â Monday, June 7 th 4400 Ming Ave. (parking lot), Bakersfield from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Jacobsen Middle School â Tuesday, June 8 th 711 Anita Dr. (parking lot), Tehachapi from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Kern County Dept. of Human Services â Wednesday, June 9th 100 E. California Ave. (parking lot), Bakersfield from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. â More than 20 million vaccine doses have been administered in California and more than 7.7 million Californians are fully vaccinated.
Both Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health touting the lowest positivity rate in the country and attributing this to vaccinations.
Yesterday Governor Newsom announcing that the state is setting its eyes on reopening the economy on June 15th saying that this goal is only attainable if people get vaccinated. But this can be easier said than done and many people still have questions about the vaccine.
Health officials optimistic about vaccines, but still urging the public to stay vigilant
It s been almost a year since the Coronavirus pandemic altered life as we knew it in our world and in our county. A light at the end of the tunnel: not one but three COVID-19 vaccines. Pfizer, Moderna and now Johnson & Johnson being made available to order just last week and is in Kern County. 23ABC s Kristin Vartan spoke to public health and a local hospital about the state of the vaccine rollout and its future.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â Kern County Public Health officials reported more people in the community have died in relation to COVID-19. Nine more deaths were reported today in Kern County.
That marks 924 lives lost in total. But health officials want people to know there is a backlog in reporting so this data is just now appearing in the daily numbers.
There were 138 new cases of COVID-19 announced Thursday. That marks nearly 104,000 cases in the county since the pandemic started.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â In a sweet moment that shows how far our health care workers will go to help those in need, a group of nurses at Adventist Health Bakersfield s Cath Lab took the time to soothe the concerns of a patient through song.
According to Megan Simpson, a communication specialist at Adventist Health, a woman was at the lab to undergo a procedure when she suddenly became afraid and panicked. I have a bad feeling; I don t want to die, she said.
