Facebook Partners with Technology and Healthcare Providers to Improve Key Health Messaging

Published June 10, 2021 Andrew Hutchinson Content and Social Media Manager Amid the push to maximize COVID-19 vaccine take-up around the world, Facebook has announced that it s partnering with a range of leading technology, healthcare and academic institutions to establish a new Alliance for Advancing Health Online , which aims to improve public understanding of how social media and behavioral sciences can be utilized to improve the health of communities around the world.  Among the other groups taking part in the initiative are the CDC Foundation, Merck, the World Bank and the World Health Organization. Merck and Facebook will each commit $20 million in funding to the multi-year program.
