CORVALLIS, Ore. – The TallWood Design Institute (TDI) at Oregon State University is looking for someone with woodshop management experience to serve as full-time technical director of its R&D lab.
Iain Macdonald, director of TDI, said the ideal candidate knows how to maintain and operate equipment including 3D CAD and CNC machinery. “It would be a fun position for someone that likes variety, since each project is different,” Macdonald said. “Also, (we need) someone who would enjoy mentoring students and training a wide range of people from the industry, not just manufacturers, but architects, engineers and contractors.”
