Alaskans love to fish! Already, trips to favorite fishing places are being planned, and dreams of big catches dreamed.
So, imagine standing on the shore of your favorite river when suddenly you see a person being swept downstream, thrashing to keep their head above water. We would, in an instant, make every effort to rescue that person and get them on solid, safe ground.
Let me connect this drowning person to problems our community experiences: crime, homelessness and Alaska s poor reading scores.
Every day, people around us being swept down a torrential river of personal trauma. These are people of all ages, but for this discussion, I want to focus on kids - kids who are careening down a river of multiple sources of stress and trauma.

Takeaway looking for new premises as Taco Bell moves into Lincoln

Nepalese and Indian takeaway Everest Xpress will stay in Lincoln and open a new restaurant in the coming months once Taco Bell moves into its current premises.
Two separate planning applications for Taco Bells were submitted to City of Lincoln Council to convert Everest Xpress on the lower High Street, as well as the former Pizza Hut premises on Nettleham Road.
Speaking today, Annie said: “I feel very privileged to be the first person in Ireland to receive the vaccine. Like everyone else I have been waiting for the vaccine and I really feel like there is a bit of hope there now. It’s brilliant that it’s here. Everything was explained very clearly to me beforehand.”
