Champion Turnout at Rocky Show
The 2021 Rockhampton Agricultural Show has proved to be a great success, attracting 33,000 visitors over three days last week.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the community has well and truly supported this year’s event.
“On Thursday alone we saw 20,000 people come through the Show gates which is a fantastic result, particularly only one month following Beef Australia,” Mayor Williams said.
“Whilst the majority of ticket holders were from the local Rockhampton Region, it was wonderful to see outside visitors in attendance, experiencing what our community has to offer.
“Every member of the Advance Rockhampton event team, wider Council team, committees, volunteers, sponsors and local businesses all played a part in the overall success of this year’s event and we cannot thank them all enough.”

E-scooters are a hot topic at the moment in Rockhampton and council will now select an operator from a list of six short-listed companies to start a trial in the city by the end of the year.
Among the short-listed companies is global company Superpedestrian, that operates Link e-scooters.
If successful, Rockhampton would be the first Australian location for the company that already operates in 30 cities around the world from Seattle to Madrid.
Visiting Rockhampton this week was Superpedestrian Asia Pacific regional director Mitchell Price who sat down with The Morning Bulletin.
âRockhampton would be our first market in Australia which is why we are investing and meeting with business and stakeholders to really understand the issues of Rockhampton,â he said.
