At 81st avenue and olive street in east oakland. Our officers were able to ping the van and located here and we were able to detain them to subjects and rescued animals. The three of myself, myself and the foster and adopt or have been in a group text all day and all of us are saying how sick to our stomachs we are about this. Reporter a is only one of two dogs already adopted. The rescue group sending her to a new family was relieved to see her on video in oakland in the back of an animal control car looking okay. Police say during the theft some paperwork went missing so theyre not sure if any of the dogs were actually sold.
