police released surveillance and body cam video of a deadly traffic stop that preceded the death of 29-year-old tyre nichols. kevin corke lays out the key portions of the video and also has the baking details. kevin, good evening. trace, the video takes place over two separate scenes beginning with the initial stop where tyre nichols was pulled over for allegedly recklessly driving. now, nelson had been sort of jerked out of his vehicle by officers, though we don t know why, given where the video began. then obviously there is an altercation in which officers are ordering nelson to turn over and put his hands behind his back. there s a lot of back and forth, a lot of talking, and eventually a scuffle. pepper spray is deployed. nelson struggles with the officers, and manages somehow to escape on foot. later on, after being caught at the second location, officers from the initial stop show up. another altercation ensues, only this time for several minutes. nelson is brutally
