Storybook Island opens May 29th for the summer season

KNBN NewsCenter1 The countdown is on for the opening of storybook island, Where Magic Happens.” May 25, 2021 RAPID CITY, S.D. Saturday, May 29th, the park opens, featuring over 100 storybook and fairy tale sets that kids and parents alike enjoy. It’s a place that children can use their imaginations, take a ride on Storybook Island Train or the vintage carousel. The park is 61 years old and will host a 62nd birthday party on August 16th. Jackie Laws, the Executive Director of Storybook Island, says,“We are super excited; there are five of us here full time year-round getting the park beautiful and maintaining it. We do have some new things, so as you walk through the park check out the new and updated things we have done for the year.”
