Lubbock has lost a distinguished judge, leader, and friend with the death of Texas 72nd District Court Judge Ruben Reyes, County Judge Curtis Parrish said. Reyes died from complications of COVID-19. He was 56. Throughout his tenure, he was known for his judicial fairness, and for his unwavering advocacy for specialty courts, including the Lubbock County Drug Court, Parrish said in a statement. His support of specialty courts was recognized nationally, as he was elected to chair the National Association of Drug Court Professionals in 2015.
Governor Perry appointed Reyes to the bench in 2006. He was then a partner at Hurley, Reyes and Guinn. The Honorable Judge Reyes won re-election multiple times since then, to the court that covers both Lubbock and Crosby counties.Â
varieties of pot. i was reading the names, i think bubble gum and african queen. it is an adult drug. people are going to start to, you know, maybe use it like wine. they will do it for taste and for flavor. that s the point. it is no longer medical marijuana. this is marijuana. why do they have this guy saying he has symptoms. that was the excuse from before. now you can go in and say i want pot because i want to smoke pot. right. this was the trojan horse. not to take anything away from the veteran who served for our country and probably needs well definitely needs relief if those other pills are not doing the same. or the warriors in troy. you don t want to take anything away from them. i don t. they were hard workers as well. my point is, ptsd or medicinal marijuana was the trojan horse to get drugs in. always. the thing that boggles my mind is that guy likes pot more
