• May 14, 2021 Adrienne L. Widmer, P.E., has been selected as the new Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) Assistant Director. With her 27 years of utilities and engineering experience, Widmer is ready to start the next stage in her career, growing LCU’s mission in providing safe natural gas, clean water, dependable wastewater services, and the weekly removal of the trash. She was previously the LCU’s deputy director of Water.
“Leadership at LCU has a positive amount of female representation for an industry that traditionally has more, if not all, male employees,” Delilah Walsh, LCU director, said. “Along with Adrienne, who led Water previously, we have Robin Lawrence, who leads Solid Waste. We’re proud to have positive role models for other female engineers who may decide to join us in the future.”
