The theater arts have suffered much throughout the pandemic, as the novel coronavirus has led to many cancellations of in-person shows and a movement toward virtual performances.
The Houston Ballet s interpretation of The Nutcracker a staple in the Houston area for over 50 years is now moving online as well. Their performance, Nutcracker Sweets, will run from December 15 to January 8.
The Houston Ballet s take on the classic holiday staple will incorporate footage from old company performances of the Tchaikovsky holiday ballet and never-before-seen dances set to favorite seasonal carols and holiday songs, as reported by Adrianne Reece at Houstonia.
