Week of February 4, 2021 Adrianne Kautz - We Can’t Defend the Capitol, but We Can Help the People Who Are Adrianne Kautz is the co-founder of One Fresh Pillow. She started her business venture in 2017. After witnessing the horrific images of the now-infamous insurrection at our country’s Capitol, she felt compelled to act. She knew that she couldn’t personally defend the Capitol but thought she might be able to help the brave men and women who were. Her company decided to donate several pillows and sleep masks to the National Guard members who kept guard and slept at our nation’s Capital. She hopes that her spirit of giving will positively influence her daughter.

It started after images went viral of national guardsmen sleeping on the ground while guarding lawmakers at the U.S. Capitol. Now, the owners of One Fresh Pillow in Tallahassee are hoping to make their stays a little better by mailing them travel pillows and sleep masks to use.
