This week s events include a dance cross fitness class, basketball and running clinics, family and parachute games, giant bubble making, and a class at Adriance Memorial Library.
The Summer Fun Saturdays at Eastman Park were created to address a need for summer activities to keep children in the city busy over the summer.
“This week really showed the power of community rallying around kids and families, said L Quette Taylor, founder and CEO of Community Matters 2, one of the many partners in the coalition. We want to help keep that momentum going by bringing families and kids together as much as possible and supporting them in whatever way we can. This series of pop-ups is just a start, but it’s important for us as a group to show that we’re about action, helping meet the community’s needs not just in the future, but right now.”
