The IHSA Track meet brings in families from all over the state to see their athletes participate in the competition. With more than 2,000 athletes in the area, it’s bound for the city to get busy. But just how busy does the town get, and how does it handle the influx of people coming into.
Summer can mean many things for many people. For some it’s going to the beach with friends, while for others, it’s bumming it while playing your favorite video games. For a former athlete such as myself, it always meant training for soccer and taking summer classes. AKA- no break time. But for individuals living in.
Anastasia Lindsey graduated from Eastern back in 2015 with a degree in technology. But just because you graduate with something does not always mean that it’s your passion. But the thing that separates this library from all the others is how much the community relies on it, and how much the library gives back in return. .
Jennifer Stringfellow, the associate director in special education, as well as the president of the Eastern’s UPI chapter, has been selected for College of Education Person of the Year. Coming to her as a surprise, Stringfellow said that she was not prepared for the nomination in the slightest. Hearing about her winning was a shock.
