The fire broke out underneath a bus parked outside the Henwick Road Garage says owner, Dharam Shinh. The 76 year old who has owned the garage since 2007 said he felt lucky nobody was seriously hurt. He said: I was working in the office when I heard a bang outside. I went to investigate and saw a bus had caught fire. It spread in seconds destroying all the cars around it and the garage door. It was very bad.We were very lucky no-one was hurt. I got away and called the fire brigade. They were here putting it out for a good couple of hours. Now we must start the clean up. It will be at least a month until we can re-open. There is a lot of damage, but at least we are safe.
