GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Redshirt freshman Katie Hurta finished with a career-high 19 kills, and freshman Kennedy Wagner added 13, as Clemson (6-3) defeated Sacramento State (5-3) in five sets (25-19, 16-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13) on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers also clocked 10 aces, including three from Adria Powell, two from Wagner, Mckenna Slavik and Mckenna Gildon and one from Mia McGrath. Hurta finished the match hitting .351, while Wagner clocked a .323 hitting percentage. Slavik and Powell rounded out Clemson as the third and fourth Tigers to hit above .300 with a .400 and .312, respectively. Slavik led the team with 44 assists and added 15 digs, while Powell added a team-high six blocks (three solo, three assisted).
