Meet Chrome! This sweet guy was adopted from Lone Star when he was a puppy. Chrome was sadly returned because his owner's Son was allergic to him. Although he was initially sad to see his former owner leave, Chrome has adjusted quickly to being back at the Sanctuary. He has two new doggie pals and his tail never stops wagging! Chrome is a four-year-old large Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is the sweetest boy that just loves people! He is good with kids and other dogs. Although he has never met a cat, Chrome has no prey drive and all signs point to him doing well in a household with a cat. He is a timid boy and requires an owner with a gentle touch. Very soft correction is what is needed for this boy. Chrome is not a high-energy dog and would love to be your indoor couch potato! He does love his swimming pool and jumped right in the minute he was put into a yard after arriving at the Sanctuary! Meet Aries! One of the most overlooked dogs at the Sanctuary sadly! Aries is a six-year-old dog that has spent 4 years at the Sanctuary. That is more than half her life! The staff's best guess on her breed is a Boxer mix. Aries loves people and is happy to cuddle with staff. She absolutely loves to go on walks and would be a great buddy for a person looking to have a dog for companionship. She also enjoys car rides! Aries is selective when it comes to other dogs. She doesn't really play with other dogs but can co-exist with a select few at the shelter. Aries has been known to dig so her adopter would need to make sure to watch her while in the backyard. She is more comfortable around older children so Aries shouldn't go to a home with children under 10 years of age. Like all the larger breed dogs at the Sanctuary, Aries adopters need to live in a house with a fenced-in yard. Meet Pippin! This super chill amazingly sweet old boy is looking for a nice quiet home to spend his golden years! Pippin is a ten-year-old Corgi mix. At 26 pounds, he isn't too small or too big! He loves to run around outside in his yard and is very selective with his canine companions. He does have one dog friend here that he plays with. At the Sanctuary every dog gets yard time in the morning and everyone goes out in shifts. Pippen is very smart and waits for a yard to empty and then runs into it the minute his yard gate is opened instead of going back to his kennel! Most of the time staff lets him have his extra time because he is such a good dog! Pippen needs an adult household as he isn't comfortable with children. He would make a great companion dog to sit and watch tv with, take on walks through the neighborhood, and may even enjoy the occasional short ride to Starbucks for a Pup-o-chino!
