Santo Domingo, N.D.- The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic is pleased to announce the launch of the Apptiv@s Girls and Adolescents Against Cyberviolence project, which will focus on reducing the incidence of online gender-based violence through the responsible use of social media.
Apptiv@s is designed to enable participants to develop self-care, leadership, sorority and key skills for their personal and professional growth. This project will include community awareness workshops for 20 parents and community leaders, capacity building for 40 girls and adolescents from different provinces of the country, and the development of a mobile application.
