Winchester Coroners Court A MAN with a history of mental health issues used a shotgun to take his own life, an inquest heard. Kevin John Primmer, 54, was found by his wife Catherine at their home address on May 6. She rushed to the property in Riverside Farm Lane, Alresford, after speaking to Mr Primmer over the phone. Portsmouth Coroner s Court heard that she knew something was wrong with her husband because he finished the conversation by saying: I love you very much Cath, goodbye . We first met in 1994 and married in 96. I would consider him my best friend, said Mrs Primmer in a statement.
AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of an 86-year-old Romsey woman. Jean Hooley, of Wakeford Court, Cressey Road, was admitted to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, after paramedics were called to her home. During the inquest opening at Winchester Coroner’s Court area coroner Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp said that paramedics due to a fusion which Mrs Hooley had been suffering with. Mrs Hooley was admitted to hospital and died on September 7, last year. A post mortem carried out by Dr Adnan Al-Badri gave a cause of death as digoxin toxicity, acute renal failure, congestive cardiac failure, left ventricular hypertrophy and old age.
Castle Hill in Winchester: location of Winchester Coroners Court A 52-YEAR-old man died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree in Bishop’s Waltham. Hugh James Wallis Harper had been driving along the B3035, The Hangers, when he crashed on December 3, Winchester Coroner’s Court heard. Emergency services were called to shortly before 8pm to reports of a single vehicle collision. Area coroner Jason Pegg said that Mr Harper’s car had “collided with a tree”. Paramedics were called but Mr Harper, of Church Lane, Plaitford, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem carried out by consultant pathologist Dr Adnan Al-Badri found that Mr Harper died of multiple injuries.
