East Carolina University News Services released a statement on April 26 that said officials have advocated for K-12 students to learn more about higher education and life as a college student and will plan events to encourage students to stay on track for college.
Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of ECU Undergraduate Admissions Stephanie Whaley said in the press release she wants to connect younger students to ECU.
âItâs really important for ECU to connect with younger students in elementary school and in middle school so that they can create some sort of affinity to ECU,â Whaley said.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has created a video for younger students which allows them to express what career they would like to do in the future, according to the press release. The release said ECU hopes to give tours to these students once COVID-19 restrictions are raised.
