Israel said intense clashes erupted after terrorists emerged from a tunnel near the border. Hamas s armed wing said after that its fighters were engaged in heavy fighting with the Israeli Defence Forces.
Gaza is in a state of total chaos as Israel stepped up its bombing of the territory in a bid to wipe out Hamas, with troops remaining in the strip on Saturday as part of an "expanded" offensive.
The Israel Defence Forces has issued an advisory for Gaza residents, warning them to relocate south immediately , saying that the window to act is closing as Israel continues to expand its operations in Gaza.
