Voters in Antioch Township on Nov. 8 will be asked to allow officials to borrow $16.5 million by issuing bonds to build a combination township hall and multipurpose senior center.
Antioch residents are urged to toss instead of flushing items that can create potential home plumbing issues or clog the public system. The village is reminding residents not to flush wipes, paper towels and other items that can clog pipes and damage equipment.
Through the years, many who have worked at Antioch village hall say they have felt an unexplained presence, heard an unexpected noise or saw a fleeting image. Benign but sometimes unnerving ghosts said to inhabit buildings downtown are among the stories showcased in an interactive community scavenger hunt called Uncover Antioch.
