Nagaland moots formulating new service rules, cadre review

KOHIMA The School Education department is in the process of formulating a new Nagaland education service rules and cadre review, said Advisor for School Education and SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, on Thursday. He assured that the opinions of all concerned would be taken into account in the new service rules and cadre review. Yhome was speaking at the Nagaland Education Mission Society (NEMS), Samagra Shiksha’s two-day state-level coordination and review meeting with DMAs and EBRCs at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Kohima. While maintaining that the 2017 service rule, which was met with opposition from the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA), was comprehensive and done with good intention, he said there is a need to adopt an “all encompassing” approach and to do away with piecemeal solutions in the department. Dimapur wins state-level parliamentary quiz contest

DIMAPUR: Dimapur district emerged winner of the state-level parliamentary quiz competition organised by the department of Parliamentary Affairs at Imagine Hall of the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) in Kohima on Friday. Kiphire district won the second position, followed by Longleng in the third position and Mokokchung district in the fourth position. Speaking at the function, the commissioner and secretary of Youth Resources and Sports, Parliamentary Affairs, Wezope Kenye, said that quiz competition is about demonstrating creativity, innovation and the capacity of the students to think outside the box. He added that quiz competition is a reminder that knowledge is not limited to memorising facts but understanding how to fit things and ideas together to create a bigger picture, a DIPR report stated.
