Turkish Drone Strike Kills Three YBS Fighters in Iraq, Says Kurdish Counter-Terrorism Service

A Turkish drone strike in northern Iraq on Tuesday killed three fighters from the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS), a militia affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Iraqi Kurdistan's counter-terrorism service said.  The 5:00 a.m. strike targeted a YBS headquarters in the Sinjar district, the counter-terrorism service said.  Türkiye has led a long-running campaign in Iraq and Syria against militants of the PKK and the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), both of which Ankara regards as terrorist groups.

Arab Labor Conference Kicks off in Cairo, Focuses on Integration

The 49th session of the Arab Labor Conference (ALC) kicked off in Egypt with the participation of state representatives, organizations, and trade unions from 21 Arab countries. The Arab League’s Arab Labor Organization (ALO) is organizing the conference, which is chaired by Mauritania and will run through May 29. It is addressing "New Patterns of Work" and "Vocational Guidance and Training."
