The smoke earlier was all flame. The good thing is the day started with humidities going up, and that meant the flame says started going down and we saw more smoke than flame. However, we expected this yesterday when the fire, quote, unquote, exploded, in the words of fire crews. There are no cars. This time of day the place would be filled with cars going both directions. But with the evacuation of residents have come firefighters. Over 1400 firefighter personnel, some with engines stationed at each home waiting for the fire. Others is spots like this like that dozer waiting to mobilize from the roadside to the latest hot spot. Today the biggest focus will be the southeast corner of this whi wildfire which is right on the doorstep of the town of mariposa.
