War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie is running out of time to use over 1,000 Pfizer vaccines before they expire at the end of July.
The number of people attending vaccination clinics in Northern Michigan have been dropping, leaving War Memorial Hospital with more than they can use.
“The turnouts been a lot less lately,” said Austin Conway, Emergency Management Director of War Memorial Hospital. “We get anywhere from 6 to 30 people maximum nowadays at a Wednesday clinic versus the thousands we had at these larger clinics.”
The hospital has been holding clinics every Wednesday, but less people are showing up.
