Plans to remove phone box from outside Hyndburn library, but BT say it could be yours - for just £1
The phone box is hidden by bushes at the side of Oswaldtwistle s library on Union Road People are being asked their views about the removal of a payphone next to a public library. Residents in Oswaldtwistle are being told they have 90 days to respond to proposals to remove the BT payphone next to the town s library on Union Road. BT, who own the phone box, want to remove the payphone as they say demand for it has fallen. The telecommunications firm are currently carrying out a 90 day consultation, which ends on June 17 but responses to Hyndburn Borough Council are requested by May 1.
