The Odisha State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday announced that election for 109 urban local bodies (ULBs) in the state will be held on March 24.State Election Commissioner, Aditya Prasad Padhi said the elections will he held for 47 .
Barring a few incidents, the last phase of panchayat elections in Odisha were completed smoothly with approximately 70 per cent voter turnout, an official said on Thursday.As per preliminary reports, about 70 per cent out of 41.88 lakh voters .
Odisha Panchayat elections were held in five phases on February 16, 18, 29, 22 and 24. In the last phase, elections were held for 131 Zilla Parishad (ZP) seats in 975 gram panchayats of 25 districts on Thursday.
