Alok Kumar, has given them a target of shedding some kilos by April 30
The Karnataka State Reserve
Police have been set a target. The law enforcement agency has some falling in line to do – reduce weight by April 30. A circular issued by Alok Kumar,
IPS, Additional Director General of Police, KSRP, says if they are not an optimum weight, they can say goodbye to promotions.
Kumar told Bangalore Mirror that 1,000
KSRP staff were found
overweight by more than 10 kgs. Now they will be given special sessions to bring down their weight and become fit. “The KSRP staff are a little overweight when compared to others as their work requires them to sit and wait for events to happen. Due to this, they are not able to focus on their health and are prone to chronic diseases. Last year there were seven covid deaths and 50 non-covid deaths which made us reflect on the health of the KSRP personnel,” he said.
