âChristmas and New Yearâs holidays are huge for seafood,â Fernsler said. âChristmas is for the seven fishes, so a lot of people do that traditionally. With New Yearâs, everybody celebrates.â
Fernsler said their sales began rising at the beginning of the pandemic when people could not go out to restaurants, but the past week has been even busier.
âItâs been crazy,â Fernsler said Thursday. âSince we opened at 9, itâs been nonstop line out on the sidewalk.â
To maintain social distancing and reduced capacity, customers waited in line outside and entered four at a time. Those who placed orders ahead waited at the back door.
