The fifth largest bank in Australia, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Ltd (ASX:BEN) of which Delphi Bank is a member, has reported a $243.9 million net profit after tax for the first half of the 2020-21 financial year to 31 December, 2020. This was a 67.3 percent increase on the prior corresponding period.
The General Manager Bendigo Specialised Banking and Delphi Bank, Jim Sarris said: “The achievement of a solid half year result demonstrates the ability of our organisation to move quickly and with care to support our customers and communities.”
“Whilst we have met, and in some cases, exceeded our growth targets – we remain firmly committed to providing a positive customer experience, and delivering on our customer needs,” said Mr Sarris.

This year’s Greek War of Indipendence celebrations calendar is jam-packed.
The Greek Community of Melbourne has organised more than 30 events spanning from February to November 2021. This year is a special one, as it marks 200 years from the Revolution of 1821 for Greece’s Independence from the Ottoman Empire.
The much anticipated Lonsdale Street Greek Music Festival will kick off on Saturday 20 March and go until the end of Sunday 21 March 2021, aspiring to celebrate a COVID-safe Antipodes.
The festival with extend from Waratah Place, Heffernan Lane, Golden Square Car Park, up to Lonsdale Street in collaboration with the Lonsdale Street Greek Precinct. The event takes place with the auspices of the City of Melbourne; the Victorian Government, supported by the Multicultural Committee and Delphi Bank.

The new-look Delphi Bank branch has reopened in Oakleigh with the introduction of a café hub near the entrance that is aimed at making the banking experience for clients more welcoming and inclusive.
The new look sought to be welcoming to all and was particularly aimed at the newer generations who preferred their banking to be less transactional. It features a of a dining table, an open kitchen with a long island bench with banquet seating.
The branch opened as the Bank of Cyprus in 2000, subsequently came under of the Delphi bank. At the time it was the first retail bank of a Hellenic background to open its doors in Australia.
