Owen Sound had seven new cases, while there were seven more in Saugeen Shores. South Bruce Peninsula, North Bruce Peninsula, Grey Highlands, and Chatsworth each had one. The health unit said there are now 195 active cases across the region and 379 high-risk contacts. Nine people from the region are in the hospital with the virus, while another five patients have been transferred in from other jurisdictions.

Starting in December, Sunwing will have bi-weekly flights to two sunny destinations in Cuba. The tour operator will offer flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Varadero and Cayo Santa Maria starting December 14 and 16. The flights will go until mid-April. Sunwing ceased flights at the Windsor International Airport at the start of the pandemic in March 2020. “Our regional gateways, including Windsor, are at the forefront of our operations, and we’re excited to be offering residents convenient departures from their local airport,” said President of Tour Operations Andrew Dawson. From now until the end of the month, it is also offering what it calls its “Freedom 21/22 Sale,” where travellers can get up to $1,000 in value on select vacation packages.

Friends and family of the LaSalle woman are on tenterhooks after the woman, described as larger than life, was evicted from the Big Brother House on Thursday night. However, she has a chance to stay on if she beats Thursday night’s other evictee, Jedson, in a new competition. “It’s almost like a carnival game,” said Tera’s husband, Ryan Petrozzi. “You have to roll balls up a slanted table, and get three balls into three different holes.”
