Seyi Makinde, the state governor, is set to commission the company’s newly built cassava processing unit on Friday in Ilora, Oyo state.
Adeleye Oyebade, chairman of Rontol Group of Companies, said those expected to be in attendance at the commissioning include south-west governors, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and traditional rulers.
The private-sector initiative supported by the state government is aimed at providing quality foods to enhance people’s lifestyle and improve high-quality food production for nationwide distribution.

Rontol Foods Factory’s cassava processing plant has an input capacity to process 20 tons of cassava tubers daily, according to the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

I feel humbled. I feel satisfied and sincerely, I appreciate God because God made it easy for me. The road was bumpy, challenging, demanding and it was such a journey that you don’t even know what tomorrow has in stock. It is such a job that is very dangerous and sensitive like an egg; if you hold an egg too tight, it will break; if you don’t hold it well, it will fall down. There was a lot of sacrifice to make even when it was not convenient. The job needed a lot of humility. I loved the job and tried as much as possible to follow the concept of policing that I called policing with the fear of God. Hundreds of ceremonially dressed policemen who filed out in columns thrilled the crowd that converged on the parade ground, Police College, Ikeja, to witness the pulling out ceremony of an unblemished senior officer, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Adeleye Oyebade, who was in charge of Research and Planning.
Despite their masks neatly covering their nostrils and mouths, the excitement on the guests’ faces as the colour party, band and various parade platoons marched in sequence with synchronised steps and eyes-right, could be felt.
