Three members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), who were involved in the arrest of notorious Fulani war lord, Iskilu Wakili, in Oyo state have been charged with three counts of conspiracy, murder and arson.
An Iyaganku chief magistrate court sitting in Ibadan ordered that the trio Awodele Adedigba, Dauda Kazeem, and Hassan Ramon be remanded in a correctional centre.
The OPC members had arrested Wakili and some of his fighters at the Ibarapa area of Oyo.
The state police command had subsequently arrested and detained them.
Opeyemi Olagunju, the prosecuting counsel, told the court on Wednesday that the suspects caused the death of a 45-year-old woman on March 7 at Kajola village, Ayete. He said they also set fire to the house of Iskilu Wakili, a Fulani leader in the state, causing damage of N5 million.

The latest kidnapping in Osun State Saturday evening, in which passengers plying Ibadan/Akure expressway by Egbu Village Ikire, were violently abducted by criminals at Wasinmi, has continued to generate reactions amongst residents.
The armed men operate from forests, stretching across Osun State, from where they launch attacks, kidnappings, on travellers along the road.
The Police on Saturday claimed those abducted had been rescued, adding that security operatives were on the trail of the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, in early February, six passengers and the driver of a Toyota Sienna bus were abducted along the Ilesa-Akure expressway.
The abductors released three among them and sent them to inform the public about their abduction before the rest were later released after huge amounts were allegedly paid as ransom.

The news, on Sunday morning of the arrest of Iskilu Wakali, who, until his arrest was by far regarded by many as the most dreaded Fulani herdsmen in the whole of the Ibarapa area of Oyo State, came as a great relief for many people in the South-West geopolitical zone.
This was manifested through the many comments hailing the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) that effected his arrest. To many, Wakili had overtime assumed a larger than life image and literally became a legend in the Ibarapa area for his alleged atrocities, which included kidnappings, killings, rape and forceful takeover of hectares of farm land.
