Men of the Nigeria Police and local hunters have arrested two suspected kidnappers at different locations in Ikaram and Akunu axis in Akoko area of Ondo State.
The suspects, were arrested when the local hunters and the police were combing forest, to rescue two persons that were kidnapped recently in the area.
The Vice Chairman of Akoko North East Local Government, Mr. Deji Obayan, said one of the suspects was arrested due to his curiosity.
Obayan said he saw a man on Thursday around 4:00p.m. when he was going to his hometown, Akunu.
The Vice Chairman said he intelligently drove to man’s side along Obayan farm a kilometre to Akunu and asked for his mission and the man said he was going to Lokoja.

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested at different locations in Akoko area of Ondo state by police detectives and local hunters.
One of the suspects was said to have dressed like a lunatic when arrested at Akunu Akoko while the other arrested at Ajowa Akoko had in his possession an Army identity card.
The vice-chairman to Akoko North-East local government Deji Obayan while speaking with newsmen said he accosted the suspected kidnappers at about 4 pm on Thursday on his way to his hometown.

Men of the Ondo State Police Command and local hunters in Ikaram /Akunu Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state have apprehended two suspected kidnappers at different locations while two kidnapped victims regained their freedom.
The two suspected kidnappers were arrested by local hunters and vigilante who noted that the two suspects were pretending to be insane.
According to a source, a suspected mad man was sighted on the highway in Akunnu while the security operatives queried him and it was discovered that the suspect was not mad.
After questioning him, it was discovered that the suspected mad man was only looking unkempt but spoke reasonably and some items such as ATM cards, soap box, black dresses and black underwear were found in his luggage.

Two farmers were abducted by gunmen on their way from their farms in Ikaramu Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Tuesday.
This came barely 24 hours after a pastor of the Deeper Life Christian Church, Otamayomi Ogedengbe, was kidnapped by gunmen at Irese in the Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.
The farmers were said to have been kidnapped by the hoodlums from different locations.
It was gathered that one of the victims, who was identified as Ade Gbodi, was abducted on the Okeagbe-Ikaramu Road while on his way home from the farm, while the second victim, Ishiaku Wakili, was abducted on the Ikaramu-Akunnu Road, where construction workers were kidnapped a few days ago.

Anxiety enveloped lkaram Akoko, in Akoko North West council area of Ondo state over the abduction of two residents of the community including a graduate, Ade Gbodi by gunmen.
Reports had it that the victims were abducted by gunmen at two separate spots in the community within 24hours.
Speaking with newsmen, the traditional ruler of the town, the Akala of Ikaram Oba Andrew Momodu cried out that the community and its environs are under siege as to the fear of being abducted or killed by the hoodlums.
